“I was approached by Junette (Coordinator) at New Life Egg Donors in February 2015, I was then matched with parents in June 2015 and went to Phnom Penh, Cambodia in September 2015.
I’m truly grateful and honoured to be a donor of a reputable agency like New Life Egg Donors. The service I received was truly superb. I appreciate how New Life Egg Donors made me feel like I am part of the family and comfortable. If I ever had any questions, they were quick to respond to my needs. Junette was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly.
Becoming a donor was scary and exciting at the same time. I had done my research so I had an idea of what I was going to be doing and what was going to be happening to my body, but you can’t know the full experience until you try it.
My first time donating I had difficulty injecting myself with the hormones because of my fear of needles, but I very quickly built a tolerance. I had hardly any symptoms at all and it really didn’t hurt like I thought it would. My first time at the clinic I was in awe of how beautiful it was and how friendly all of the staff was. Everyone was smiling and you could tell that they all loved their jobs, which was important to me.
I was also lucky enough to meet the intended parents in Cambodia (of course no personal information was shared), this was one of the most memorable encounters of my life. While I was waiting at the reception to meet this couple, I was shaking with nerves and my mind was racing. I was scared they wouldn’t like me. When I walked in the room, I could tell they both felt the exact same way. We talked and laughed and it felt as if I had known them forever and we were all just friends catching up. Meeting them and knowing how grateful they were just made the whole experience that much better.
The day of the actual retrieval, I was once again terrified. Luckily Junette was with me so she helped calm me down and I never felt alone, everyone were so friendly and helpful, Doctor Deeksha is one of my favourite doctors as from that day! The procedure went very quick and I woke up feeling fine. I had minor cramps and bloating but nothing serious. I rested for a short while, got a cookie and then was discharged. I spent the rest of the day resting and felt great the next day.
Overall, the experiences were wonderful. I absolutely love the staff at New Life Cambodia and would definitely donate again. This has been a life changing experience and I wouldn’t change a single thing about it. I would recommend donating to anyone who is capable and willing because you are granting someone’s wish and creating a miracle, and that feeling is unbelievably satisfying!
My entire experience as an egg donor was amazing I feel so blessed being able to help couples in need. I’d temporarily forgotten how rewarding it feels to help make a real difference in the lives of others!
My main motivation for donating was so that woman or men can be helped to have a child. I am helping her/his fulfil her deepest wish and enabling her to give a lifetime of kindness and love to another human being.
I feel so honoured to be part of something so life changing and I wish my recipient all the best and she gets everything she deserves.
I sincerely hope the couple had a successful implantation that resulted in pregnancy. My thoughts and good wishes have been with them daily. In any case, I’m going to hope and believe everything was a success!
If you ever have another wonderful and deserving couple that you can’t find another suitable donor for, I’d absolutely love the opportunity to donate again.
Please keep me in mind if the possibility to donate again ever presents itself!
